You know what I love about the new year? New bloggers. New people committing to this being in the year to become healthy.
A very good friend of mine posted something on facebook the other day, and it made me really angry (not what she said, but the idea of it, I'm in complete agreement with her). She was posting about how she really didn't like the negativity associated with "January Joiners" - aka the people who make resolutions to get healthy and join gyms, classes, etc. To many regulars, they resent these "January Joiners" who they feel are taking up space and invading their routines. Guys, if any of you have ever had any of these thoughts, I urge you to look at from this perspective - WE ALL have to start somewhere. If it takes a New Years resolution to get someone moving, so be it! Applaud them for their effort to change something about themselves. Support them in their endeavor. In my opinion, it is NEVER a bad time to change your life, and we should not scold people or look down on them for starting with a new year. It's a clean slate, a chance to start over, and I welcome them into this crazy journey.
Also, on the topic of new bloggers, I feel it is appropriate and necessary to give a shout out to Chris....I have just discovered his blog and it's brilliant, hilarious, and refreshing. Check it out here
