New Beginnings

Guys.....I'm BAAAACK!

This week marks what I believe is going to be a pivotal point in my weight loss journey...the beginning of the HOMESTRETCH!

1) My twin sister is home from London for good
2) I start a new job on Tuesday
3) And most importantly...I'm finally feeling like I've kicked my mono 100% (fingers crossed)

My sister is totally committed our house being a house of healthy lifestyles, and as we both jump into new routines what better time than for me to add regular workouts back in?

I haven't worked out regularly since before mono. That translates to JUNE! Yikes. I just feel better when I'm working out daily. I feel strong, capable, energized. I'm so looking forward to getting back to that awesome place. I've also registered for a 5k in October, it'll be my first since I had to sit-out the color run, so it's time to start conditioning and training for it.

There's one last thing I need to get in check in order to feel ready to jump back in.... I need to get my blog reading under control!!!! I've always said that I feel more mentally committed to my healthy lifestyle when I'm both reading blogs and blogging, and I've let myself fall behind due to the chaos of transitioning from one job to another. But no more. This morning the google reader said 234. I'm looking forward to catching up with you guys once again :-)

  2. Welcome back! That's great that you're being fit and healthy with your sister. It's always great having someone to go on the journey with you and spur you on.

Don't rush into doing too much after having mono. When I had it my recovery was quite long. Not saying yours will be. But don't overexert yourself. Listen to your body. If you're tired rest. But I wish you all the luck!
