The power of habit

For any of you on a weight loss journey, you know how important it is to establish good habits.

But do you understand how we form habits? Do you understand how your willpower works and when you're more likely to give in to it?

I've been reading this really amazing book - "The Power of Habit: Why we do what we do in life and business" by Charles Duhigg. This isn't the typical book you'd find on someone's weight loss reading list. In fact, I started reading this book because as part of my personal development goals and life after my MBA, I wanted to keep promoting my learning. In the context of the business world. And what I've found is something so much bigger. Something that is seriously changing the way I think about this journey.

Anyway, I don't want to go into a full-on book report on this one, my sister can testify that I've been gushing random facts about this book since I've started reading this and I'm driving her mad.

Just GO READ IT. Seriously. Especially if you've found yourself stalling in any way - I promise it will open your eyes to a new level of understanding of why you do what you do.

*Disclaimer* I am in no way affiliated with this author or this book, I'm just a really big fan.

  1. I love bOok reviews. I want to hear more about why you like it. I Love it when a book makes me want to talk nonstop about it. I just read When Everything Changed by Gail Collins about the progress women have made in the last 60 years and I think everyone should read that too.
